The ALVX AF+ is the latest version of Alex Donnachie’s signature ALVX frame. Featuring the same super tech geometry and ultra short rear end, but now with an updated invest cast chainstay yoke which maintains the tire clearance as well as creating a more rigid rear triangle and it also looks pretty sick. - Invest cast chainstay yoke which creates more clearance for the tire for when your wheel is slammed, because this part is cast and heat treated it strengthens the rear end of the frame by stiffening it up - 7mm thick invest cast dropouts to provide good support for your axle, and the small shape has been designed for grinding meaning there's no overhang to catch on ledges or rails,. Every Jamis youth bike uses size-specific items like grips, saddles and cranks that enhance comfort and control by providing the best possible bike fit. We focus on designing frames with low stand-overs to take much of the awkwardness out of getting on board and dismounting after. We trim as much weight as we can with lightweight aluminum frames on many of the youth models and use aluminum parts where possible (the limiting factor here is working within a youth-bike-appropriate price point) to work towards that make-it-as-light-as-possible goal.
